Can Drinking Water Kill???

No comment - Post a comment

It came as a shock to me too… But, scientists say that excessive usage of drinking water can ultimately result in serious effects and even death. It is known that our body fluids need various salts to maintain the flow. For example, blood cells have salts and they use this water to maintain concentration. In a situation where water enters the body in huge quantities, the body is no longer able to maintain its stability and the cells get filled up with water due to a process called osmosis. This halts the functioning of the cells. Same is the case for brain cells as well. in such a situation, water stops all the functions of the vital organs by this imbalance. If this state continues, the body goes into COMA and eventually leads to death. This situation is called water intoxication.

So, the next time you exercise and need to drink water bear this in mind and drink a more isotonic solution, so that it helps balance the salts in your body meanwhile quenching your thirst.

Virgin Ad CampaignRecently all the papers started flashing ads about getting paid for incoming calls in India. the ad was put out by the latest mobile operator in India Virgin Mobile. Initially Virgin Mobiles’ plan to enter India as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator was thwarted by the Government. Virgin Mobile has now entered India as a brand using Tata Teleservices Network on a mutual agreement. The brand aims to target the youth and the revenue is shared between the two where for eachnew user, TATA will be paid a fee. According to a official news source:

Under the deal, Tata Teleservices will pay a pre-agreed fee to Virgin for every user buying the youth-focused service. Both, however, refused to give details of the revenue-sharing agreement.

So whats interesting and fresh from the Virgin Mobile-Tata Services alliance? They promise this :

Incoming Free and Get Paid to Receive Calls: Get 10 paise for every 60 seconds incoming received from any phone.

This is a totally new concept and how it catches up with the youth in India remains to be seen. Suddenly all those “home loans, car loans and credit card” calls seem to be invited and appreciated and attractive! :) More news as we get more information on the best of their virgin mobile tarrifs, virgin mobile plans, rates and possibility to hack Virgin for more balance increasing dramas! But currently their handset range is pathetic enough to scare off the youth to Vodfone or Airtel.
